Baby bunnies! All of them together!
Mom’s name is Zorio, she’s obviously the biggest one in the middle. Starting from the left is Zander, then Zumba, Mom Zorio, then Zofo and finally Zola.
It’s so much fun to have them in the house, and we play with them every morning and night. An easy, easy winner to “beauty of the day”, so much so that I have to remind myself that I need to be aware of many things, and can’t just take cute bunny photos all day long.
Had to take this shot as we got dressed to go down the driveway to meet the bus this morning. The little bunnies are growing! This little guy, whom we named “Zander”, has “helicopter ears”. One of them goes up, and one of them goes down. He is absolutely adorable!
“Beauty of the day” is perhaps more correctly called “cuteness of the day” in this shot. Love this little guy!
Chickadees again! Love these little guys.
Abby, our Rottie, all snuggled in at the end of the day. Too cute to pass up, and met my criteria of “finding beauty”. Her first entry will likely not be her last?
Again with the chickadees, who flit back and forth and chatter away in my favorite tree, a crab apple, right outside of the house. The trick was to catch her (or him?) sitting still long enough to get a photo snapped!
OK, so this is me, and when I put it out on my Facebook page, calling “Beauty of the Day”, someone quipped, “You or the bunny?” I mean the BUNNY, of course!
This is one of the little babies that was born on February 4th. Well, I think they were born on February 4th. But I couldn’t see them until they were hopping around in the cage with their mom. It’s so cold, at least five nights this month with temperatures around -20 F (-29 C)–actual air temperature–and more cold if you count in the windchill.
I am overjoyed to see that there babies–and that they are alive!
Now that they are moving, it seems our best choice is to bring them into the house, my husband agrees. So, four little baby bunnies and mommy bunny will be moving to our mudroom. I expect that they may make more “beauty of the day” entries!
For the first time, I have a second “beauty of the day”–the snowy barn was too good to pass up. I was driving home from running errands, and this barn stood out in the snow.
Chickadee eating in the cold. Have to appreciate such a hardy little bird.
