2015-03-16Easy, easy winner today!  Well, I had a lot of photographs to choose between, but I knew that it would be the Smith College’s Bulb Show from Northampton, Massachusetts.  I don’t make it every year.  But each time I do, I believe it fully worth the 50 minute drive down and 50 minute drive back up.

Color.  Scents. Artistry. Gardening mastery.

There are only two large rooms chock full of bulbs upon blooming bulb… but the feeling of spring lingers long after you leave.  Five days to the official start of spring!

2015-03-11Who can resist these?  They are the petals of the hyacinth I purchased for $3 at the local grocery store.  They smell  great, too–and they last for quite a while, too!
